Super Smash Bros: Switch – Remaster or entirely new game?
Nintendo Switch is flying off the shelves and fans are crazy with excitement. Why? Nintendo officially announced that there is a new Super Smash Bros. game due to be released to the Switch lineup later in 2018. Not many games are more beloved and fun and this one has the fan base to prove it. Many of us have been wondering…Super Smash Bros: Switch – Remaster or entirely new game?
Smash 5 is due to be release within a year of the announcement, which is significantly faster than previous versions of the game. This begs the question…How will they be able to create a completely new game in such an accelerated timeline? Well, Super Smash Bros: Switch may have been secretly in development 2 years or more. We’re thinking that it will be rebuilt but similar in terms of game play engine to Smash 4 for WiiU & 3DS with some of the same characters we know and love like Mario, Samus, Link, Yoshi, and Kirby. That being said there is a lot of new stuff to look forward to. We are highly anticipating the new roster and stages. Some of the confirmed new characters we see in the trailer are Inklings and Breath of the Wild Link. Don’t forget that there is a revamped logo and the font from previous versions.
We are basing our opinion on a very short trailer and Nintendo has been very hush hush about giving us much information thus far. We are looking forward to more announcements at E3 and hopefully an official release date there or possibly earlier. Stay tuned with Egghead Gamer for all the latest news and information.
